MUMBAI: Anupamaa is currently ruling our television screen and winning hearts all over.

Madalsa Sharma is currently portraying the role of Kavya in Star Plus’ Anupamaa, which is her television debut.

She made her acting debut in the 2009 Telugu film Fitting master. She went on to do various south Indian films post that. Her maiden Bollywood film Angel, by choreographer Ganesh Acharya, was released in 2011 and she received a lot of praise for her performance. Later in 2014, her second Hindi film, Sooraj Barjatya Rajshri Productions' Samrat & Co. released.

Tellychakkar recently got in touch with the actress and got to know interesting insights.

What more and new will we get to see in the upcoming track of Anupamaa?

You will get to see a lot of new things in the upcoming track of Anupamaa. The show keeps having so many twists and turns in every episode. There is a lot to come for Kavya too now. Kavya has already pulled some big drama and post-New Year, the audience will get to see a new Kavya. She will be very different from the way Kavya has been up until now. I am also really enjoying playing the character. I am sure the audience will love watching it too.

How has life changed post-Anupamaa?

I feel great. It is always a blessing to be a part of any project which is flourishing. Anupamaa has been in the number-one spot ever since we began. As an actor, I feel great and full of gratitude. I am very grateful to Rajan sir for giving me the opportunity to play Kavya. He is the one who carved Kavya. It has changed my career and what more could I have asked for? 

Your husband says he is very proud of you and is honored to be known as your husband publicly. What do you have to say about that?

He has been very supportive. He encouraged me a lot when I received this offer and we were discussing it. So he is the one who has been the source of encouragement and when your husband is so supportive, then the sky's the limit. I feel very blessed because when you get support from your house and family, things fall smoothly into place.
