MUMBAI: Nishi Saxena is an actress known for Colors TV’s Nima Denzongpa. It starred Surabhi Das, Mohammed Iqbal Khan, Manish Raisinghan, and Akshay Kelkar.

She recently entered Star plus’s Anupamaa playing the role of Dimple, who is misbehaved with and gets harassed by some goons. It is quite a sensitive character and the plot is delicate currently.

Tellychakkar recently got in touch with Nishi and got to know a lot about her character and the plot.

“I feel blessed to be a part of Anupamaa. It is such a big show and I got the opportunity to play this character. It is like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me.”

How do you feel about playing such a sensitive character who if not played right, might hurt people’s sentiments?

“It is a very sensitive character and I feel responsible if I am not doing it right, sentiments might get hurt. But my team and co-actors are so nice. They help me with everything.”

How did you bag the role of Dimple?

“I was in Bhopal, my hometown. I had come here for a project and I got called for a role in Anupamaa. They did not tell me the details but when you get called for Anupamaa, you have to take it. I did not tell anyone about it at first, not even my family. It is their favorite show, in fact, it is everybody’s favorite. Then if I tell them about the audition and it does not work out, it will hurt them. Later, even when I got done with the mock shoot and meeting, I was still unable to believe it. I felt it when I shot for the show and after that, I told my family. Everything happened quickly though.”
