MUMBAI: Star Bharat's show Tera Mera Saath Rahe is one of the most awaited shows of the year. 

The series will see the favourite saas-bahu pair of the nation, Rupal Patel and Giaa Manek. The duo rose to fame from Star Plus' show Saath Nibhana Saathiya. 

Rupal and Gia will be reprising the roles of Kokila and Gopika. 

Well, apart from these two, Tera Mera Saath Rahe has a stellar star cast of Mohammad Nazim, Nitin Vakhria, Vandana Vithlani, and Minal Kapre among others.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Nitin, who is set to be seen in a pivotal role on the show. 

Spilling the beans on his character, Nitin said, ''My character name is Keshav, and I play Nazim's on-screen father in the show. The character is a positive one."

On being asked if he thought about the comparisons being made with Saath Nibhana Saathiya, Nitin said, ''I was also worried that the show might be only about saas-bahu, and other characters wouldn't have much to do. Then, I was told that the characters are taken from Saathiya, but the story will be new. Every character will have an important part to play in the show.''

The actor added, ''The show is a saas-bahu drama with new tadka. There will be some negative characters, but there will also be a dash of comedy and much more.''

Nitin shed some light on his character and revealed, ''My character is a bit emotional and a bit reserved. He is the head of the family.''
