MUMBAI : Star Bharat has presented some of the best shows so far. 

Tera Mera Saath Rahe, Radha Krishn, and Haathi Ghoda Paal Ki Jai Kanhaiya Laal Ki among others. 

And now, the channel is gearing up for a new show soon. 

Star Bharat is all set to roll out a brand new show Sasuraal Genda Phool season 2. The show's first season aired on Star Plus and after a decade, the makers are back with the show's second season. 

Sasuraal Genda Phool 2 will have the previous star cast reprising their respective roles with some new actors joining the show for this season. 

Ridhiema Tiwari is one of them who will be reprising the role of Disha in the show. 

The audiences were in love with Ridhiema's stellar performance in the previous season and are hoping to see a different side of hers this time around.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Ridhiema, who spoke at length about the show and much more. 

Your first reaction on getting a call for season 2...

It was a huge surprise for us that season 2 of Sasuraal Genda Phool was being planned. Fans have constantly loved our show and I am very grateful for that. It rarely happens that a show is coming up with season 2 after a decade. It was a piece of great news for me. The way we are connected to each other, be it the star cast or the technician team, we are still one huge team. We all kept meeting each other in the past 10 years often. Our friendship got stronger. It doesn't really happen that actors from the show have such a great bond even after the serial is wrapped up. But we had. It was towards the very end when I got a call for the show. There was no thought about turning down the role. If I had some other commitments and I wouldn't have been able to do them, then it would have been unfortunate. But then, it was a miraculous thing that everyone from the star cast was available. 

What can viewers expect from this season?

Sasuraal Genda Phool 1 was magic and it was one epic show. We are not touching that. We are not trying to recreate that. A different and new story is being created after a gap of 10 years. After so many years, a lot of changes takes place. We will showcase greater depth, greater connections, better professional growth. The new season will create new moments and not harp on the old ones. Things won't work if the same things are recreated from the previous season. 

What new will the audiences see in Disha's character?

In the previous season, it was shown that my character could not have a baby due to some issue. The entire family came together during this tough time. Suhana and Ragini found a small girl in the garden as they weren't able to see me like this. We had adopted her. But after a few days, the kid is taken by her mom. Over the years, it was shown that Disha was finally blessed with a baby boy. 

My look in the show has changed now compared to the previous season. I'll be seen as a school principal while in the previous season I was a teacher. My getup is quite relatable and nothing is over the top. It feels very real. I'll be seen wearing salwar kameez. She is in a great position career-wise. But she is extremely homely and the character's essence is not that loud. 

Ridhiema has previously done shows like Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai, Aashiq Biwi Ka, Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki, Rishton Se Badi Pratha, Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage, Agent Raghav - Crime Branch, and Divya Drishti among others. 

Previously, Ragini Khanna was paired opposite Jay Soni in the show, and this time, Shagun Sharma will be seen alongside him. 

Sasuraal Genda Phool 2 is all set to hit the small screens from 7th December.
