Yes, this is indeed sad news for the loyal viewers of the show who have been enjoying watching it for nearly two and half years now.

News coming in is that the channel has decided to pull the plug off Maharana Pratap. The show is scheduled to end on 4 December, as per sources.

Adding on, our credible source says, “The decision has been notified to the cast and crew of the show. There is a feeling of disappointment amongst the actors, with many of them getting emotional on sets.”

For many actors, this show has been a benchmark in terms of the characters they have played. Starting from Faisal Khan to Ssharad Malhotra, Rajshree Thakur, Aashka Goradia, to Shakti Anand, Vindhya Tiwari, Rachana Parulkar, all have been appreciated for their work.

The source adds on, “There was a talk of an extension earlier. But with the channel taking the decision of ending the popular historical, the creative team is now shortening tracks to get to the culmination.”

When contacted, few actors on terms of anonymity confirmed the news of Maharana Pratap shutting shop.

We buzzed Producer Abhimanyu Singh and even dropped a text message to the channel spokesperson, but did not get any revert till we filed the story.
