MUMBAI: TellyChakkar is back with yet another refreshing update from your favourite show on Colors TV that is Barrister Babu.
Currently, Tapur reveals everything that happened that night to Bondita and weeps in guilt. Bondita assures her that nothing would happen to her henceforth. Chandrachur will not come back. Tapur apologises for putting Anirudh in trouble. Thaku maa enters the room and apologises to Bondita for hiding the truth as she was scared of what would society say about Tapur.
We got in touch with Tapur aka Saumya Shetye and asked her questions regarding the current track of the show and big revelation. Here's what she had to share.
Has the molestation scene left a drastic mark on you? What are your views on the current track of the show?
Not at all, in fact, my parents had a detailed conversation with Mangesh sir (director) and he assured us that the scene will not be bold at all. So we were comfortable doing it. I am really happy to be part of the serial Barrister Babu, the current track is completely focusing on Tapur, her pain and her plight which gives me more room to explore my character on screen.
How did you bag the character? Did you find it pressurising to join the show from the middle as Tapur?
It is a perfect example of a blessing in disguise along with the guidance and support of my parents and everyone on set, I have been able to deliver a good performance. I remember there were many girls while I auditioned but the joy of bagging the role was a major surprise to me as well. There was initial hesitance while I began the show but everyone at Barrister Babu has been extremely supportive.
Fans are pouring immense love for the revelation scene, what is your take on it?
Tapur's character has given me a lot of learning, the scenes were indeed very difficult and intense to perform but it is always exemplary if you get the perfect guidance from the seniors and director on how to perform. I am overjoyed with the response that I received for the scene.
What would be your message for the young girls watching the show?
My message will be to strongly believe in yourself, don't keep quiet if someone tries molesting you, raise your voice and fight back. Don't ever give up on yourself. Do your best in whatever you choose.
