MUMBAI : Abhinav Shukla is a well-known television star who rose to fame with his stint in Bigg Boss Season 14, where he was considered one of the most dignified players of the game.

Post that, he was seen in the reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi, where he did all the stunts and faced his fears.

TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor and asked him if he would ever take on any projects on OTT platforms, and about what has changed on television these days.

 
Will your next project be on television or on the digital platform?

To be honest, I missed the OTT buzz years ago since television was paying me so well that I didn’t take up any projects on the digital platform. The payment was also less back then and we thought that the audience was watching television and who would watch something on a streaming platform. But then OTT started to take actors who wanted work and could settle down for a lower payment, and slowly it grew to become so vast. Now, there is a huge gap that has come and I want to be a part of it. I do give auditions for OTT projects, but something or the other happens and things don’t work out.

 
Do you have any limitations in doing an OTT project like doing an intimate scene or kissing scene?

See, to be honest, I am okay with doing anything if the script requires me to do so. It shouldn’t be a forced scene in the story or just there to attract the audiences to watch it. Like in Hollywood, it’s done with the flow of the script and not put unnecessarily in the storyline. So, here as well, the scene should fit the story naturally, then only I am fine with doing it.

 
What do you think is lacking in television these days that good projects aren’t coming your way?

The spark of television is gone these days. There is nothing to connect with. When I get an offer, there isn’t any kick left in accepting the offer and spending time on a television project, especially in the fiction format.

 
Well, there is no doubt that Abhinav is a great actor and his fans would love to see him on the digital platform.
