MUMBAI: Viraj Kapoor who is currently seen as Barry in SAB TV's show Tera Yaar Hoon Main is being loved for his stellar performance on the show. 

The actor has been associated with the show for a very long time and has quite an important part to play. 

Viraj is seen as Daljeet aka Sayantani Ghosh's son on the show. While fans are in love with the mother-son jodi, the duo shares the same bond off-screen as well. 

The talented actor started his career as a child artist at the age of 7 and has come a long way. 

TellyChakkar got in touch with Viraj who spoke in length about Tera Yaar Hoon Main and much more.

What new can the viewers expect from Viraj's character in Tera Yaar Hoon Main?

The character of Barry has different shades. In the initial days, he was shown as the angry young man who was ready to fight with everyone. But he had a soft corner for his mother Daljeet and sister Twinkle. The viewers can also see his friendship with Risabh as well. Now Barry will be seen going to college which will see a lot of changes. The viewers will see a soft side of Barry. His friendship with Rishabh will improve now. 

What is your fondest memory in your acting career?

I did a print advertisement with Mr Sachin Tendulkar. That was a great experience. He is such a humble person. He took a picture with me back then. It was a great moment. He sat with me for 15 to 20 minutes and spoke to me about a lot of things. We had a pleasant conversation. Apart from that, I did an ad with Ranveer Singh. He called me in his vanity and clicked a picture with me. He was so humble. The actor also rapped his Gully Boy song with me. We rapped that song together. That's one of my favourite memories. 

Apart from acting what is your favourite hobby? Did you think about any alternate career?

I love playing cricket. I have been playing cricket in the academy, for clubs, ever since my childhood. Even now I try to give cricket as much time as I could. If I wouldn't have been an actor, I would have taken up cricket as my profession. Whenever I am not shooting, I play cricket. However, I am not able to give it much time because of my acting stint. But let's see how I can manage it further. 

Tell us about your bond with Ssudeep and Sayantani?

He is like my mentor and is one of the best humans I have met in my life. Ssudeep bhaiya has always guided me in every scene. He is a very secure actor. It's great working with him. 

Sayantani is playing my mom on the show and she treats me like one in real life as well. We share a great bond and chill around in each other's vanity. She is really a great actor. I haven't seen such a great actress like her.

Viraj has previously been a part of many TV shows like Bhootu, Nadaan Parinde, Lajwanti, Devanshi, Kulfi Kumarr Bajewala, Barrister Babu, C.I.D, Savdhan India, Kaal Bhairav among others. 

He has worked in web shows liek Verdict, Bhaag Beinei Bhaag, and movie Daak Ghar. 

Viraj is gearing up for his next release Inspector Avinash and Hurdung.
