MUMBAI :Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan who celebrates his birthday today is all set to be seen in not one but three films. While his fans have missed him tremendously for the last 4 years on the big screens, the actor is busy completing his film and is super busy doing that to make his fans happy.
While the Raees actor has already completed the filming of the movie Pathaan, which releases in January 2023, the actor is now working on Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki and Atlee’s Jawan.
Talking about Dunki, the film also stars Taapsee Pannu and will incidentally be the first Bollywood film to be shot in the scenic locales of Saudi Arabia. As per a source who spoke to a news portal, “Dunki will be the first Bollywood film to be shot in Saudi Arabia. Shah Rukh Khan, Rajkumar Hirani and other unit members are expected to fly to the Middle-Eastern country around November 15. Shooting will commence 2-3 days later and is expected to be wrapped up by November end. It is expected to take place in and around the city of Jeddah.”
The sources further added, “Saudi Arabia, in the days to come, will emerge as one of the top destinations for filming. The Ministry of Culture of Saudi Arabia has announced that it is giving a cash rebate of upto 40% on production spend in the country and has also assured full support to get licenses and approval as soon as possible to the filmmakers. Besides, the country has beautiful, unexplored locations which are sure to look great on the big screen. All these factors have tempted the film industry to shoot in Saudi Arabia.”
While Bollywood hasn’t explored Saudi Arabia for shooting till now, Hollywood has already done so. Meanwhile, as per certain reports, Akshay Kumar’s Selfiee and Salman Khan No Entry Mein Entry are also keen to try the Middle Eastern country for their film’s shoot. In the coming 6 months or so we will have a clearer picture about the films that will be shot there.
