MUMBAI: Ekta Kapoor’s Yeh Hai Mohabbatein is currently one of the most popular television serials. It’s been almost six years that the show has been successfully entertaining the audience with its gripping tale. There have been reports that the TV series will soon have a spin-off called Yeh Hai Chahatein.
Interestingly, ever since the reports of YHM spin-off surfaced, speculations have been rife about who will be playing the lead in the show. So far it was rumoured that Karan Wahi has been roped in to play the lead in Yeh Hai Chahatein. However, according to a latest report in Times Of India, it is reported that Abrar Qazi has been taken on board as the male lead of this much-anticipated spin-off. Abrar is known for his performance in Gathbandhan and has been enjoying a massive fan following ever since.
Even though an official confirmation is still awaited by the makers, Abrar’s fans are certainly over the moon with this news. On the other hand, the media reports that Sargun Kaur of Tantra fame will be playing the female lead in the movie. “After considering several names, our search for the lead couple has ended with Abrar and Sargun. They are apt for the roles etched out for the central characters in the show,” a source was quoted saying to the daily.
