Geeta Kapoor wanted 24, not 16 top final contestants on DID Li'l Masters

Geeta Kapoor

Though the judges of DID Li’l Masters (Esselvision) namely Geeta Kapoor and Ahmad Khan have found their top 16 contestants, the former is not too happy with the selections.

Not that she feels that the top 16 don’t deserve the honour, she is also of the opinion that many others deserved the same too.

As a matter of fact, in her latest interview with she had confessed that she would have pushed this number to 24. “I love the top 16 but we wanted a lot of other kids too. But then it’s a job that we have to do; therefore we had to offload a lot of kids,” confirmed Geeta.

“We fought a lot to get all of them. We still have children on standby and if we could we would have had top 24 not top 16,” she further added.

So, how many kids are on standby? “At the moment, we have four on standby. If possible I want to get a few more. But they (channel and the producer) have said that they can accommodate just these many this season and that if I name a few more this might create an issue,” answered a not so happy judge.

The top 16 will be revealed on screen tonight.
