When Gouri Tonk decided to make a comeback with Star One’s Ssshhh Phir Koi Hai, probably never imagined what she had got into. Tonk who was apparently asked to block 20 days was called to shoot for only eight days. She was seen only in the first episode and is currently shooting for the 17th and 18th episodes. The actress touted it as her comeback but was disappointed to see her dates being wasted. A source close to the actress says, “Gouri was told she will be required for at least 20 days a month and will feature in all the 18 episodes but was only called for eight days which meant approximately three episodes. This infuriated her as she had made her come-back with this show after a long time. She voiced her displeasure to the production house and asked her to revise her pay package. The production house obliged and promised her a hike but nothing was in writing. She had been shooting for the past four days for the last two episodes and yesterday was her last day of the shoot. Though she was unwell, she still reported on time and got ready immediately. But since the production house had promised to clear all her dues on the last day, she waited for the cheque till the afternoon. Later she got a call from CINTAA which accused her of bringing the shoot to a halt and harassing the production house. The actress clarified her stand and even told them about the hike promised by the producers. Disappointed with what had transpired, she left the shoot but later came back accompanied by her husband after being pacified by him and CINTAA. The production house later paid her the entire amount but not the hike verbally promised and only then did the actress resume the shoot.” The source adds, “The actress had apparently even asked the production house to replace her on the show as she hardly shot for it but the production house pleaded otherwise. They didn’t want to replace her and promised to revise her pay-package.” Says another source, “It’s true the production house had blocked 20 days of the actress but she wasn’t called for those many days. We only called her for eight days. We didn’t even call Sandeep Rajora, who played her husband on the show. But everything was sorted out later and she resumed the shoot later in the evening.” Gouri Tonk refused to comment. Producer Abhimanyu Singh, Contiloe Entertainment, too didn’t revert to our text.
