MUMBAI: Actress Gulfam Hussain Khan, who is currently seen in Gehna- Zevar Ya Zanjeer on Dangal TV, says that the love of her fans holds a lot of significance for her. She adds that she makes sure to spend time with them and values their constructive feedback.
“As I always say, the best gift you can give someone is your time. Fans give you their time and invest days in you. So yes, fans are very important for public figures, one cannot exist without another. I make sure to read what my fans are writing on social media, but not trolls. I have to absorb only the positive. So if it's love, comment or even constructive criticism, I'm all in for it,” she says.
She adds, “Fans generally love my chemistry with my artists on and off screen. They expect me to play a matchmaker of sorts. For romantic coupling or just to bring people in for get-togethers.”
She says that she has often received the best compliments from those who love her work. “I can't call him a fan but I bumped into legendary singer Suresh Wadkarji at a party and he told me I was a fabulous actor and I had to pinch myself then! It was indeed surreal. Another great compliment I received was from Late Mrs Rekha Raman Kumar for my then show Betiyaan. She met me at my family friend's home and said the portrayal of character Rasili Bai reminded her of Legendary yesteryear actress Shaukat Azmi,” she says.
