MUMBAI: Actress Aalisha Panwar shot to fame with Ishq Mein Marjawan on Colors. While she was last seen in Meri Gudiya, Tellychakkar.com reached out to the actress for an exclusive interview on her career choices and her comeback to television. 

Aalisha shared, “It was a wonderful drama. When Ishq Mein Marjawan was launched initially, we got a very good response. We were actually worried about how the response would be as the situation was very tricky. The theme of the show was about characters coming across as vicious and it was a thriller and there was a murder mystery too. The show was slotted on prime time and we weren’t sure. The producers were also worried because usually at that time the audience watches kitchen politics. This show was of a different genre and usually a girl is shown to be simple and positive, however here she was the vamp. But then we knew that because the concept was so different, it was a success. The show ran for almost 2 years and since the fans demanded a season 2, the makers came up with one. 

The show is very different as the character shown is not of a usual girl. She is bold and glamorous. For the first season, people loved Tara more than Arohi! Till date I get fan videos of make-up tutorials inspired by Tara’s look and Arohi’s look even after the show is off-air.” 

When asked about her take on the second season of Ishq Mein Marjawan, Aalisha shared, “I haven’t really followed the second season but I am sure it is doing great as Yash sir and Mamta mam are very good at telling their stories and the way they present it.” 

Tellychakkar.com went on to ask about her take on Helly Shah being cast for the second season. Aalisha mentioned, “I know Helly and she is a lovely girl. I haven’t followed the episodes but I have seen glimpses of her on social media and I think she looks good.” 

We asked Aalisha about her comeback to television. 

She said, “Well, I was doing Meri Gudiya which went off-air during the lockdown and now I shot for a music video. I am also doing a project titled Blind Love which is another surprise for the fans. I cannot reveal the nature of the project. It is work in progress. “
