Looks like Ronit Roy had his fill of playing gentle patriarchs in daily soaps. He will be soon hosting a reality cookery show for Colors called Kitchen Champion. It will feature 11 pairs of actors from various shows of the channel.
Roy says, “I'm a big foodie. I love eating and I enjoy cooking. I especially love to experiment with flavours. When I was offered 'Kitchen Champion' there was no way I was going to say ‘no’. It's totally different and a very new experience for me and I am looking forward to becoming the poster-boy of cooking for women across the country!"
“It is a cookery show where there would be two actors from each show who will make a team. Every episode, we will have to cook some variety of recipes and then play the game, like a treasure hunt. Ronit will provide us with clues for the treasure throughout the episode. Whoever will get the highest marks will proceed further in the game. Week after week one team will have to leave the show .The team which survives till the end will be the winner,” says Bhairavi Raichura who will team up with Avika Gor, her on-screen daughter from Balika Vadhu.”
There would be a judge who will rate these teams. The time slot and the launch date for the show is not yet decided and it is expected to go on for 13 weeks.
This is going to be the third show in Colors’ afternoon band which is still waiting for their fiction show Thoda Hai Bas Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai to start next month. It is said that both the shows will be launched on the same date.
