Rajat Tokas does not mince words when he states that he is an actor and not a celeb..WHY? Read here...
Rajat Tokas

Fame comes with a price. It costs you your privacy and offers you the expectation to be at the behest of media and the prying eyes of the public.

Sad but that’s the ugly truth of stardom. And once you choose the path, you relentlessly assent to it, sometimes unwillingly.

But here is one man who believes in living his life and his ‘celebrity’ status according to his rules.

Not someone to go by the books, the extremely talented Rajat Tokas claims that he will never be available for media and his fans for he wants the world to know him by the character he plays and not as ‘Rajat Tokas’.

As we indulged into a deep conversation with him at the launch of his new venture Chandra Nandni on Star Plus, the 25 years old actor without mincing any words stated, “I want the world to recall me by my various characters. No one knows Rajat Tokas and he is not important enough to be remembered. But each of my character should leave a mark on my audience’s mind. And that is what I intend to do. This is the reason why I choose to stay away from interacting with media and my viewers.”

When we mentioned that since he is a star, people want to know more about him, Rajat snapped back saying, “I am just an actor and not a celebrity. I am doing my job as any ordinary person and I do not find the need to make a hue and cry about it.”
Hmmm…point taken young man.

Rajat, who rose to fame with Prithiviraj Chauhan was much acclaimed for his role in Balaji Telefilms’ Jodha Akbar. The actor is back with Ekta Kapoor’s next historical outing opposite Shweta Basu Prasad on Star Plus.

Chandra Nandni will launch from 10 October, 8:30 pm.
