Known for her appealing nature, charismatic personality and spontaneity in acting, Kavita Lad is a successful actor be it drama, films or television in the Marathi industry. The actor who has been seen in shows such as Eka Laganachi Goshta and marathon serial, Char Divas Sasuche is all set to mark her debut in a Hindi daily soap, Namaraj Productions’ Chandrakant Chiplunkar Seedi Bambawala on SAB TV. Kavita will be seen as the protagonist, Chandrakant Chiplunkar’s wife in the show. Speaking about her character, Kavita says, “I have been a part of the Marathi industry from a very long time and this is the first time I will essay a Gujarati woman in the show. After a long time I will play something which makes my heart beat faster and I am thoroughly excited for the same.” The beautiful actress claims that playing a Gujarati woman was challenging as she had to closely monitor the mannerisms and behavior of the culture. She avers, “Once you are dressed like a Gujarati, half the battle is won there. I met my Gujarati friends and neighbours and saw how they behaved and dressed. The other challenge was speaking in Gujarati. I understand the language well but can’t converse. But that too was taken care of as I do not have a lot of lines in the language and since I am good at mugging my lines I can pull it off well.“ Kavita will be seen playing a daughter to veteran actor Anang Desai in the show, who would not be happy with her decision to marry a Maharashtrian, Chandrakant Chiplunkar. While this is the first time she will share screen presence with Anang, she has shared a great rapport with the talented Prashant Damle off-screen and on-screen both. When asked her about her bonding with her co-stars, she quips, “Anang Desai is a veteran actor and I am looking forward to learn a lot of things from him. With regards to Prashant, all I can say is that I am looking forward to another great innings with him!
