The four letter word ‘love’ is riddled with baffling emotions. For some it’s magical and for others, it’s unending pain.

One actress who has seen love and been pierced by its bitter tentacles is Adaa Khan.

Adaa, who found new heights of fame playing Sesha in Naagin, will be seen as a snake lady again in Naagin season 2.

Professionally, she is geared up to pack a punch, but in personal life, she is sombre and has lost faith in love.

Reason?

Adaa was in a committed relationship with television actor Ankit Gera. While she weaved a ‘happily ever after’ dream, Ankit cheated on her. Ankit simultaneously dated Adaa and Bigg Boss fame Roopal Tyagi.

Droopy, dreary and defeated by Cupid, Adaa shared with Tellychakkar (at the launch of Naagin 2): “I am single and have closed the door on love. These days I hear about so many breakups and divorces,  which is very upsetting. There is no loyalty left in a relationship now. Instead of ruining your life it’s better to focus on work.”

Cynical in agony!!!

So what has breakup taught her in life? “After the heartbreak, I have evolved as a person and I have learnt my lesson. I am looking at life from a different perspective. I don’t believe in flings but a successful relationship.”

Mature!!!

She summed up with this note: “After seeing so many breakups, I have realised it’s better to be single. My dad is happy with my decision. Rather than being a divorcee, it’s better to be single, independent and a successful woman.”
