MUMBAI: Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide has left the entire nation numb. The 34-year-old actor was found hanging from his ceiling fan at his Bandra residence on 14 June. Post his demise, the entertainment industry has been offering their condolences to his family. Unlike most Bollywood stars, Sushant did not come from a film family and struggled his way to the top.

After making it big on TV with Pavitra Rishta, he started his Bollywood career with the movie Kai Po Che and garnered a lot of love and appreciation. The actor was unstoppable after that and his performances in movies like MS Dhoni, Kedarnath, Sonchiriya, Chhichhore was unmissable.

Along with fans, celebrities have continued expressing grief and disbelief over the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput.

Sushant had very few friends in the industry. One of them is Mrinalini Tyagi who was his co-star in Pavitra Rishta. Mrinalini, Sushant and Ankita Lokhane bonded during Pavitra Rishta days. However, it’s been a while since Mrinalini lost touch with Sushant.

The news of Sushant’s death came as a big shock to Mrinalini. She told us, “I am still not over not from the shock and not able to digest that Sushant is not amongst us. I knew Sushant very closely and the passion he had to achieve his dreams. In fact he used to tell me and a lot of his other actors friends to try their luck in Bollywood and should explore different dimensions in life. He was very intelligent and would have knowledge about each and every thing that is why having conversation with him was always great. He used to rub his positivity on others.

I can’t even imagine what his parents must be going through. From the time I have heard the sad news I am re-visiting mine and Sushant pictures as I can’t stop thinking about him. I pray to God that he rest in peace and give his family strength to overcome such a loss.”
