MUMBAI: Star Plus' drama series Anupamaa is one of the most popular shows on the small screen.

The show is currently witnessing a lot of drama ever since Vanraj left the Shah house.

Kavya too created a lot of problems for Anupamaa and her family.

Well, we all know that Alpana Buch who plays Leela's character has enjoyed immense love and support from the viewers for her performance.

The actress was recently tested Covid positive and had to take a break from work. After several days of home quarantine, Alpana has finally resumed the shoot.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Alpana who asked her about her feelings about getting back to work after a long time.

The actress said, ''I got loads of messages from my fans when I was in my quarantine period. Fans wanted to see me back on the show soon. That's when I realized the importance of Leela's character in Anupamaa.''

Leela's character in Anupamaa held a prominent position in both Anupamaa and Vanraj's life. Her constant support to Vanraj and opposition for Anupamaa and how her relationship dynamic changed with her daughter-in-law was loved by the viewers.
