Tarun Khanna, the good looking actor has a body and physique to die for. The man with a ‘six pack abs’ is now all set to accept a new challenge in the form of essaying Raavan in Life OK’s successful mythlogical series, Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev (Triangle Films Company). As we know, Tarun goes on to replace Manish Wadhwa as Dashanan in the acclaimed show, wherein his entry will be aired tonight (5 June 2013). Says Tarun to Tellychakkar.com, “I am more of a model actor and to essay the role of Raavan is a challenge in itself. Mohit Raina is an example to follow as he is a good-looking guy with a great body. He has given a new definition to Mahadev with his great acting. And his body and looks are add-ons. I want to get as popular as Mohit Raina in the role of Raavan.” Tarun has been living the life of ‘Dashanan’ ever since he has started shooting for Mahadev. He explains this fact saying, “This is an once-in-a-lifetime role. I will never play Raavan again after this, and this prompts me to put in maximum effort. It is so funny that even at home, I behave and talk like Dashanan. My wife (actress Smita Khanna) is actually sick and tired of my behavioural pattern (smiles). On a jovial note, she even tells me that it is better I stay at a different house till the time I am playing Raavan in Mahadev (laughs). Such is the power of the role, and I am enjoying every moment of it.” The actor in Tarun Khanna is a bit nervous as his entry is slated tonight. However, the character he plays does not allow him to be nervous. “Dashanan is never known for his nervousness and under-confidence. Now that I have accepted the challenge, I am optimistic that things will fall in place.” On the producer of Mahadev, Nikhil Sinha, Tarun states, “I have earlier known Nikhil Sinha as a very eminent cameraman and director. I would say that he is even better as a producer. Mahadev is a remarkable show and there is a feel of uniqueness to every plot that has opened up. I am determined right now to prove him right when it comes to casting me as Raavan.” On the track of Ramayan opening up in the show, Tarun avers, “I am really looking forward to see how the track shapes up. I am eager to know who will play Ram, Sita and Raavan’s son Meghnath as they are prime characters. Also, I cannot wait to lift the girl who plays Sita (laughs) as Raavan.” As for the track, Tarun reveals, “Viewers will get to see the origin of Raavan as he is earlier known as Dashanan. For a certain reason, Dashanan gives out a ‘fearful, scary and loud scream’ and this is when Mahadev will pronounce his name as ‘Raavan’.” Tarun, we wish you all the very best!!!
