What's with Qazi? He is keeping unwelling. Apparently, the Fame Gurukul winner who was billed to perform yesterday at the MTV Immies was laid down with an illness. Instead, it was Abhijit Sawant, Amit Sanna and Rahul Vaidya who accompanied Ruprekha on stage for a performance which included Yeh Pal.... A soulful rendition by the quartert which brought the house down. The three Indian Idols also made a different kind of entry to open their act. They came in from the audience. Rahul Vaidya picked up a PYT from the audience while coming down the stairs and swayed with her for a few bars. Ditto with Abhijit Swant who picked a pre-primary schoolgoing girl to do a little jig. What was also remarkable was the manner in which Amit Sanna regained his footing while coming walking in from the audience. Sanna did not let his stumble deter his performance in any way, and he continued to warble away at his best. Sawant, Sanna and Vaidya were mobbed in the audience with youngsters seeking to be pictured with them. Overall, it was Sawant's day, he pocketed two Immies, picking up one of them from Saif Ali Khan who patted him on his back.
