MUMBAI: 7 years after the phenomenal success of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? (IPKKND), the team of the romantic saga is all set to reunite. Gul Khan and Ved Raj, who wrote the daily, are collaborating once again for a love story. TellyChakkar has exclusive information that Gul, under her banner 4 Lions Production, is bringing a daily soap for Star Plus. The show is written by the talented Ved, who has worked on various other shows.
The upcoming venture is said to be a family drama. A little birdie reveals that the story revolves around a boy from a rich family falling in love with a girl from a poor family. However, the added twist in the tale is that the family comprises of cops.
The passionate love story is at the initial stages and the casting has just begun. The idea is to recreate the magic of their earlier collaboration, IPKKND.
When we contacted Gul, who has also written and produced Qubool Hai, she confirmed the news: ‘The most delightful part of the project is that despite having his own production house, Ved agreed to do this show,’ the visionary added.
We also Ved, who said, ‘We’ve cracked it in the past and I’m really excited to be a part of this again. Gul has an interesting setup and I like her execution of my ideas.’
With its newly released show Nazar entering the TRP charts and the other two, Kullfi Kumar Bajewala and Ishqbaaaz, already being huge hits, it won’t be wrong to tag 4 Lions Production a hit-churning machine.
Meanwhile, Ved’s recently launched production house, Kagaz Kalam Films, will soon release two TV serials on Star Plus and Zee TV.
