"It just wasn't my day!"

It's tough to be part of a reality show, tougher still to taste success and leave it midway! No one knows it better than Panna Gill. This Indian Idol contestant was voted out of the show, despite being touted as being the complete package to be the agla Idol. "I was very sad last night, but today, after interacting with my fans, I feel that all's not over yet! I am feeling much better right now. I was just plain unlucky on that day," says a surprisingly calm Panna, who has plans to keep doing riyaaz till he gets his break.

I was just plain unlucky on that day," says a surprisingly calm Panna, who has plans to keep doing riyaaz till he gets his break. When asked what he misses most about Indian Idol, he says, "I miss my friends! I miss Sandeep (Acharya) who was my room mate. We used to chat a lot. I was really shocked when I was eliminated and after seeing the way Farha Khan and the others reacted, I thought I had sung well! It just wasn't my day!" So who does he think is best suited to be the next Idol, we ask, and he hesitates, before saying, "I think Antara is a complete package. She's got the looks and she can sing well too!" Talking about competition and rivalry amongst the participants, Panna points out, "When we go on stage, we sing for ourselves, not to win or lose! I was sad when Jolly went out, but that's how it is. I cannot question the format, but now I want o concentrate on my singing and see that I don't lose out on the start that Sony and Indian Idol has given me." Well said!
