It's curtains for Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah

pramod moutho and Archana Taide

It’s official now. Sony’s Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah is wrapping up on September 2. It was being rumoured that the show was going to be pulled off air owing to sad ratings. Also, that Archana Taide aka Anmol was going to be replaced. Well, looks like Archana will stay put till next month now. Producer Siddharth Tewary confirmed about the show going off air saying, “The show didn’t work and we decided to end it."

TellyChakkar had a word earlier with Varun Badola who plays Kaliprasad on the show and this is what he had to say, “One of the major reasons behind this is the show is at 8 pm competing with popular shows like Balika Vadhu and Jhansi ki Rani which fetch good TRPs. As a new show and just two months old Pitaah should get its space and pace for the regular viewers of the other shows to get time to at least watch our show, only then can we judge or decide that the show is doing or not doing well.” Well, looks like Sony continues to be on a sticky wicket as far as fiction shows go.
