It’s already reported in the media that Vikas Gupta’s Lost Boy Productions will launch Ashwin Kaul of Splitsvilla fame as the lead in one of the upcoming stories in Disney Bindass’ Yeh Hai Aashiqui.
The story which will be a love story about a maid’s well-educated girl and a rich spoilt brat will also feature Joy Sengupta and Karuna Verma in central roles.
Joy will play the rich, ambitious, slightly arrogant architect who has high hopes on his son. He will want his son to excel in studies and join him to be the best architect in the business. However, the son will have no inclination towards studies, and will be only helped to get better by the maid’s daughter who is a good student. As the tutor-disciple relationship will take a new turn and develop into love, the parents of the boy will oppose their closeness.
When contacted, Joy told Tellychakkar.com, “Yes, I have already finished shooting for this episodic of Yeh Hai Aashiqui. I never take up television, and this was interesting as it was an episodic story. I play the well-to-do architect whose dreams come shattering when his son falls for a maid’s daughter. This love story based on cast conflict will test the young lover’s honesty and love for each other.”
When contacted, Karuna Verma remained unavailable. Karuna will play the mother of the lead guy, who is supportive towards her maid’s daughter till the time she will get to know of her son’s love story.
This episodic will soon be on air. Yeh Hai Aashiqui is jointly produced by Lost Boy Productions and BBC Worldwide Productions.
