The original dance reality show Boogie Woogie (R&N Productions) is back on Sony Entertainment Television from tomorrow (7 December). And it comes with a promise to entertain the audience with the same quality of dance and double the fun and entertainment.

In a talk with Tellychakkar.com, the show’s judges Javed-Naved Jaffery and Ravi Behl spoke about the show and more.

A smiling Javed said, “From the time we first started the show, a whole generation has passed off. I still keep getting messages from mothers that since they couldn’t participate in the show, they will definitely send their children this time. A lot has changed in this period and we are looking forward to this new start.”

To this Ravi added, “All three of us have had a similar upbringing and thus we want our show to not lose its moral values. During our stay in the show, we interact a lot with the kids to make them realise the importance of parents and understand family values. This is our way of giving a bit to our society.”

Sharing an incident with us, the judges informed that they had recently shot a performance with a young girl dancing on the number ‘Ganpat daaru la’. After the shoot, they decided to let go off that act and shoot the entire episode again.

Citing the reason of their doing away with that particular act, Javed went on to explain. “We did not want young kids to get exploited this way. This is their time to learn and I think parents should stand strong and put them in the right path rather than flowing with the tide. We guide parents and suggest them too. But ultimately it’s a decision that they only have to take.”

“We have a team of choreographers working in accordance by clearly understanding the quality of work we expect. We also monitor the songs that are used and have a huge collection of numbers that work best with the kids. All raunchy numbers go out of the window,” Ravi smilingly informed.

With no public voting system, the judges will be marking the kids. And when we questioned about any room for favouritism, Naved averred, “We keep a check on each other to avoid any kind of clash. For us talent is the sole criteria to win this show and it will be maintained throughout.”

“With advanced technology around, the show has definitely grown but we can assure that the quality is the same. We are starting our show with a series on kids that will go on for the next four months. We will get back with another season after that, but we might take a break in between,” said a jovial Javed.

Gear up to watch the show and regale yourself from tomorrow. Incidentally, the first episode of Boogie Woogie will have Shahid Kapoor and Prabhu Dheva gracing the sets to promote their film R...Rajkumar.
