Colors’ drama Shakti (Rashmi Sharma Productions) has been treating viewers with an intriguing plot. The one of a kind show that will focus on a ‘kinnar’ as the lead has been getting appreciation from all quarters.

With the family finding out about Saumya’s (Rubina Dilaik) sexuality truth, they will force her to go into the kinnar world. She will be pushed into an aashram of kinnars where she will be ridden off her suhagan avatar.

Once at the ashram she will meet Gurumaa, the matriarch of the kinnar world. And the makers have roped in talented actress Kishori Shahane for this strong role.

Shared a source, “Being the strict head, Gurumaa would want Saumya to get acquainted to her new reality at the earliest and start earning for the community. She will justify her stand and want to protect Saumya for her own good as she  would strongly believe that kinnars have no place in the society.”

This would mark the start of a new journey for Saumya in the show.
