MUMBAI: The episode begins with Preeta being in the temple and overhearing a few elders discussing. The elder says that the fate changes after 40 days and that the fast is not only for the wellbeing of the husband but also for the mending of the relationship. The girl who is listening to the elder says that how is it possible when there is no trust. Preeta thinks that even she is experiencing the same dilemma. She thinks that by her continuing the fast the families might come together and be united. Bijee prays for Preeta's better life. Sanjana asks Karan to pull over as she has reached her destination. A woman selling cloth arrives there and asks them to buy saying that the cloth attracts happiness. Sanjana disbelieves however asks Karan to pay for the cloth she buys. Karan also buys one however throws it away recalling what has happened to his family. The cloth lands on Preeta's head.

The woman asks Preeta to return the cloth as it was sold to someone else. The woman notices that Karan has left. Preeta is at the entrance of the temple and Bijee asks her why she came out. Preeta tells her that she came out looking for an auto. Karan thinks about what the woman said and wonders if he should buy one for Preeta. He thinks he should stop thinking about Preeta as she is not part of his life anymore. Srishti is eagerly waiting for the delivery of her new dress. Sarla asks her to sit straight else she might fall. Sarla asks her why is she worried. She tells her that she is waiting for the delivery of her new dress.  Sarla slams her for buying a new dress in spite of her having a huge collection of dresses. Srishti explains that it is a new design which is out in the market. Preeta and Bijee return home. Sarla asks them if they were able to pray. Bijee says that they couldn't as it was crowded.

Sarla offers water to Preeta however has refuses and says that she needs to freshen up first. Preeta goes to her room thinking why she bought the cloth as there is nothing like marriage in her life. She thinks that she will fulfill her responsibilities and will nevertheless observe the fast. Janki asks why Sarla is preparing food as food was already prepared. Bijee responds saying that it if out of her stubbornness. Sarla is about to take food in Preeta's room when Bijee stops her. Sarla says that she won't allow Preeta to observe fast for Karan as it will mean that she is back to square one. Sarla is reluctant in asking Preeta if she is observing fast for Karan. Sarla mentions that she doesn't feel that Preeta has kept the fast however Janki and Bijee feel that way. Sarla is about to make Preeta eat when Srishti comes with her new dress. Srishti asks her to pin the dress. Sarla is irritated and gets up and asks Preeta to have food. Preeta thinks she will make them believe that she ate the food.
