MUMBAI: Manit Joura is a popular television actor. He is known for his performance in Kundali Bhagya. The actor has turned a year older. Manit was all set to fly off to Delhi to be with his family before the Lockdown was enforced. However, his flight got cancelled at the last moment, leaving him stranded in the city with his brother. Even with the air travel opening up, Manit decided to celebrate his special day in a low-key fashion in Mumbai itself keeping in mind the safety of his family.

Manit shared with a leading entertainment portal how he has been spending his special day, "As much as I would have liked to be home and around my favourite people on my birthday, I didn't fly back home to Delhi because I was afraid I’ll be putting myself and my family at risk. This pandemic is still a threat and despite everything slowly returning to normal, I believe social distancing unless it is extremely important to travel, should be the way of life for at least a few more months.  

My family, especially my mom is always very excited about my birthday and I know she has a surprise gift for me which she has couriered with the help of my brother. She is baking a cake for me. I will connect with my loved ones via video calls, cut cakes with them and celebrate it in my own way.” 

Reminiscing about his best birthday till date, Manit also spoke about his birthday wish for this year, "I’ll have to say 2018 was my best birthday ever. I remember nagging my parents to get me horses for the longest time, and on my birthday in 2018, they actually gifted me two horses. It was one of the happiest days of my life. But as I mentioned, this year, I have decided to celebrate my birthday in a low-key fashion considering that this is what needs to be done in the current scenario. In fact, this year, as a birthday wish I pray that this global pandemic ends soon and with the shoots resuming in Mumbai pretty soon, I hope to celebrate my birthday with my Kundali Bhagya family as soon as possible.”
