Kunika Lal, who put her acting career aside to establish her restaurant business and Spa, now wishes to be back on the television scene after a break of three years. The beautiful and enigmatic Kunika Lal is a multi tasker in the true sense. In all this while, apart from managing her restaurants and a spa, she made a Bhojpuri film Maati , did a lot of social work and looked after her little son. Now that she is settled with her business, she is soon going to be back to acting in television and films. It was a rejuvenating break as she accomplished the tasks that she longed to do. Opening a school for under privileged children and other social work gave her immense satisfaction. The restaurant and spa business gave her a new direction in life. She was always interested in restaurants. In the three years break that she had taken, she even stood for the BMC elections of 2007. After venturing into array of professions, she is all excited about her return to acting. “I never left television. It was just that I kept away from it to concentrate on certain other things,” explains Kunika. In spite of being in the industry for such a long time, she feels it is tough to return after staying away from the limelight. “I would also say that it was a big mistake to quit television and films completely as it gets tough to do a comeback. I had lost touch with people from the industry. After I decided to start again, I had to meet people and tell them about my plans of getting back to acting,” she points out. Kunika is going to be seen in a serial which she has not yet started shooting for and one Hindi movie along with two Bhojpuri movies. She is producing and creatively involved in both the Bhojpuri films, besides acting in them. “I will give more details on all these projects only after I start shooting. Everything is finalized and concrete but it is a little early to reveal the details,” says Kunika. Kunika is keeping her fingers crossed for her comeback. We hope too that she achieves success in her acting career and every career she chooses to do.
