Disney Bindass’ unique love tales Yeh Hai Aashiqui has created quite a lot of excitement and freshness in the TV circuit. The show which initially started as a joint effort of Vikas Gupta’s Lost Boy Productions and BBC Worldwide Productions, is now being solely produced by BBC.

However, in the days to come, Yeh Hai Aashiqui will get associated with a newly formed production house, that of Bodhi Tree Productions. We now have information that Sukesh Motwani, who was earlier the Fiction Head at Zee TV , has now turned a producer under the banner Bodhi Tree.

A source states, “Bodhi Tree has now been brought into the picture for Yeh Hai Aashiqui. While BBC will produce two episodics in a month, the other two stories will be produced by Sukesh Motwani’s Bodhi Tree. However, talks are also on with Endemol India, for churning out interesting love tales for Yeh Hai Aashiqui. But there is no confirmation yet with Endemol. But Bodhi Tree has already started working on the show. If things work out with Endemol, then there will be multiple production houses working on Yeh Hai Aashiqui, and this will only add to the large canvas of the show’s creativity.”

When contacted, a spokesperson from BBC did tell us that Yeh Hai Aashiqui is solely producing stories for Yeh Hai Aashiqui as of now.

Vikas Gupta of Lost Boy Productions told Tellychakkar.com, “We have produced quite a lot of impressive and interesting stories for Yeh Hai Aashiqui. You can say that we had exhausted our ideas. And we as a production house always want to work on newer content. Hence we are no longer doing the series.”

We then contacted Sukesh Motwani of Bodhi Tree who said, “Yes, Bodhi Tree as a production house came into existence 8-9 months back. We have been working as consultants to few foreign players. Also we are working towards making short films. But with me having had a good run in television, we do intend to producing shows for TV. However, you need to talk to the channel about Yeh Hai Aashiqui. I cannot provide you with any confirmation regarding the content we are making.”

We tried calling the spokesperson at Bindass for a confirmation on this piece of news, but did not get any revert till the time we filed the story. We will surely keep you updated on the same.
