Actor Manav Vij is all set to wed his sweetheart of one year Vaishali Sachdeva. The actress plays the character of Meher, Heer’s (Additi Gupta) sister in Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. Incidentally, Manav calls his lady love by her screen name. “I love her screen name Meher. Meher in Punjabi means blessings and she indeed has come as a blessing to me,” Manav gushes. The couple is tying the knot on 5 July and the wedding will take place in the Iskcon temple in Juhu as Vaishali is a staunch follower of Hare Rama Hare Krishna. “Yes, we are getting married on 5 July. I myself came to know of the D-day five days ago when my parents came down and decided on the date. As of now we have finalised on the date but even if there are any changes we would surely marry in the same week. I have told all my friends to keep themselves free on 5 July. Meher lost her mother in February so it will be a simple affair. We will get married at the Iskcon temple as that’s Meher’s wish and I am fulfilling every wish of hers like a dutiful husband,” informs the actor. Incidentally, the duo was to get married at a Gurudwara but Manav altered his plans to fulfill Vaishali’s wish. Talking about the preparations, Manav says, “We have finalised on our clothes and Meher’s jewellery. I am sure to look good on our wedding day as Meher has chosen my clothes. She always wanted me to look like a Prince and I am definitely going to look one.” The duo has completed one year of courtship. So what attracted him to Meher? “She is a sweet-heart and never pretentious. She is very refined, genuine and a clean soul. She will speak whatever she feels. Moreover, she respects our culture and knows what Punjabi culture is all about. To top it all she respects me”, says the actor. When asked what he is planning to gift her on D-day, Manav said, “Well, I am devoting my whole life to her. I will be loyal and responsible towards her throughout my life. What gift can belittle this?” We wish the couple a happy married life.
