Shilpa Saklani, who's currently seen on Sony Entertainment Television's reality show Power Couple with hubby Apurva Agnihotri, says that marriage is the most wonderful phase of her life.

“It's the most beautiful thing in the entire world. I have been married for twelve years and I have been living a fairy tale life. Get married, be happy. We never ever fight and never let our arguments go to an extreme level. It takes so much energy to fight. Wake up happy, sleep happy is the best funda in life. I have heard that couples need space in a relationship, but space is for rockets. Chill, have fun, and be thankful to god for everything. We also party and holiday together,” said Shilpa.

Talking about Power Couple, the lady shared, “The main reason was being together. We do daily soaps, but in that you are usually apart from each other because of shooting and travelling. I was about to sign up a daily soap but I got a call from Power Couple, so chose it over the daily. It is definitely fun to do things together. The main thing was that we get to do a lot of things together.”

You both have never appeared together onscreen on a daily show; cutting us short Sanjeeda said, “Of course we would love to do a show together but unfortunately, it’s never happened. Every time we are offered a show together, either he is busy or there’s something else.”

Who is more competitive? “The one thing that is bad about us is that we are not at all career-driven. We are very content in life and thankful to god for everything because god has been so kind to us for the past 17 years,” said Apurva.

Though she's extremely happy with her marriage, she hopes to become a mother soon, “When I was off work for about four years, I was trying to conceive, but I had a couple of issues. Then I fell and fractured my back so it didn’t happen. We really wanted it to happen. I finally came back to TV. Currently, I am on a break for a year. It will happen, fingers crossed. I am going to have a small little Apurva or Apurvi. Beti or beta has to look like him… with a cute dimple,” she said.

Who are you close to in Power Couple?  “We love everybody but are closes to Shawar-Marsela and Aamir-Sanjeeda,” replied the dashing actor.
