Star Plus show Anupamaa has been unbeatable on the BARC charts. The show has been securing the top position for a couple of months now. The story is highly appreciated by the audience. Anupamaa is produced by Rajan Shahi’s Directors’ Kut Productions. It is one of the very few shows that has not only given recognition and fame to the lead pair but also the entire star cast of the show, who has tasted fame after their association with the show.
Well, actress Alapana Buch has come a long way in her career. She has played an array of roles on television and currently plays the role of Leela in Star Plus’ superhit show Anupamaa. While she was seen as a bubbly and funloving mother-in-law who also keeps taunting Anupamaa, her show’s dynamics have her required to project a different shade to her character which is more affectionate and less humourous given that the situation demands it.
In an exclusive conversation with Alpana, she shared, “The audience are getting to see different shades of my on-screen personality as Leela. Frankly speaking, I enjoyed playing the Leela who used to taunt and was more fun-loving which was seen earlier. The Leela you see now is also enjoyable to enact though and one never knows, Leela being Leela, might just bounce back with her quirky personality!”
