Mita Vasisht is one helluva talented lady! She's not only a refined actor; she's equally good with conceiving for theatre.

Well etched in public memory as Krishnaji of Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, Mita has come up with a new, 75 minute play, Lalded.

"I have conceived the play and am performing in it as well. It's about the magical myths and psyche of Lalded, a Kashmiri poet of the 14 Century. I have learnt Kashmiri from a friend of mine, as the play is a tri-lingual (English, Hindi and Kashmiri). I had to do this in order to verbalize the lines and recite the poems in an authentic manner. Lalded means a lot to the Kashmiris," elaborates Mita. She has taken her show to various cities in India (Delhi, Chandigarh and Pune) and loves to read out on issues related to contemporary women and women's liberation.

The actor has been in the acting business since the Doordarshan days and went on to do films, theatre and television besides waiting for an extra ordinary role to come her way. As far as television is concerned, her widely awaited show, Bombay Lawyers, on NDTV has been stalled for the time being.
