Mohi has been a really good comeback for me - Rishma Rochlani

Rishma Rochlani

Actress Rishma Rochlani is excited and thrilled about her Star Plus show Mohi – Ek Khwab Ke Khilne Ki Kahaani (White Horse Productions) entering its crucial phase of the story line with her character getting married to Ayush (Karan Sharma).

Talking about her character graph, Rishma tells Tellychakkar.com, “I am enjoying playing the character of Anusha. The girl has varied shades to portray and that makes it all the more interesting for me. Frankly speaking, I used to get puzzled in the initial days, when I had to behave differently with different people in the show. But now this very aspect thrills me. Well, talking about Anusha, I can say that she behaves or pretends to be childish in front of her parents, as she is trying hard to bring a smile on their faces. As you know, Anusha’s parents have had a troubled marriage and there is a need for my character to portray a lot of innocence by being childish. At the same time, Anusha is very mature when compared to Ayush, the boy she loves. Since Ayush comes across as a very timid guy, Anusha has to be his support system by sporting her sharp and mature self. And before her in-laws, Anusha gets into a shell, and becomes coy and shy.”

Rishma is simply looking forward to the upcoming wedding sequences as she will get a chance to shoot with the entire cast of the show. “Well, we have had no song and dance sequences or you can say, a scope for all that till now in our show. Now that we are treading towards the wedding of Ayush and Anusha, there is a lot more excitement on the sets. Another fact is that we actors have been shooting in a very scattered manner, with me having most of my scenes with Ayush. So this is one chance wherein I get to shoot with all of them.”

Rishma who was on a break from acting after her Chand Chupa Badal Mein stint is a passionate traveller. “For four years after my debut show, I enjoyed travelling. To tell you, I must have travelled half of the world (smiles). Yes, it was then a conscious decision of staying away from TV. And when I felt the need to get back, I got this offer. And I must say, this has been a really good comeback for me.”

The very fact that there is hardly any negative character in Mohi, and that the negativity and tough times are created by situations makes Rishma happy. “Nobody is evil or negative in our show. It is the situation that has driven people to do things that they would have not thought about. The same will continue with Mohi and Anusha coming face to face post the wedding. I am really excited as the story will now reach the most crucial phase. From here will begin the conflicts and the tussles between different ideologies.”

Rishma, we wish you luck!!
