The cast and crew of Colors’ Mrs Pammi Pyarelal (Playtime Creations) are shooting for its last episode today (1 October 2013). But that doesn’t mean that it’s the end of the road for the maker.

Tellychakkar.com was the first to report about the show’s closure. However, now we have learnt that like the channel’s other show, Sanskar Dharohar Apno Ki, Pammi too will be brought back, albeit in a weekly format. And, following the latest vogue, it will also be termed as season 2 of the venture.

Here we would like to add that internationally or the purpose of seasons primarily is natural plot progression without making it mundane in flavour. But in India, seasons of shows crop up once they are meant to be pulled off air (for some or the other reason) and brought back in business after a small hiatus.

Coming back to Pammi (which failed miserably at the ratings front), will again make an attempt to tickle the audiences from 19 November 2013 (speculative).

Said a source: “The next season will be a weekly and it will have a different name as by the end of this season Pammi will be revealed as Param.”

He further went on to add, “The storyline will change completely though we are planning to have the same characters in the show. As of now we are looking at calling it The Fauzdar Villa instead of Mrs Pammi Pyarelal but nothing has been confirmed yet.”

Another source went on to add, “Gaurav Gera is keen on playing Pammi and accordingly the entire family might get replaced.”

All said and done, today (1 October 2013) is the last day of this season’s shooting therefore; we contacted the artists to get their take on the same….

When contacted Gaurav said, “I feel happy with everything and have no complaints at all. I don’t even have an issue with the show coming back as a weekly.”

Dimple Janghiani aka Minty on the other hand remained confused about the entire situation as she stated, “I am just too confused with all that is happening around me. I got back on the sets after being ill with dengue and the off-air news came to me. And now I learn about our comeback. So, it’s all yet to sink in.”

“I believe in being positive hence, I see a lot of good things that happened to me in my three month journey with Mrs Pammi Pyarelal. I learnt Urdu and took up a comedy show something that I had never done before. I am happy about the fact that I met some wonderful actors on the set and I am happy that it’s making a comeback,” said Vindhya Tiwari.

Timeslot of Pammi season 2 will be locked in the coming days.

We buzzed Colors’ Fiction Head Prashant Bhatt but he remained unavailable.

Producer Hemal Thakkar too remained out of reach.
