Earlier in the day, we wrote about Arjun Bijlani and his takes on Mumbai rains. We all know that monsoon is a season of love and romance. There is nothing better than watching rains while enjoying hot chai, bhuttas and bhajiyaas. Accordingly, we decided to talk to few more TV stars and ask them what they think about Mumbai rains. Here you go… Beautiful and talented Kratika Sengar, who is currently seen in Punar Vivah, averred, “I love Mumbai rains. But one annoying things is its unusual nature. For many days it won’t rain and then suddenly it will pour like crazy, flooding everything. I feel bad for people who travel in trains. Commuting becomes quite a hassle. Usually during rains I go out of city to Karjat and Pune side. Recently, I was on bike with one of my friends on western express highway. I was just hoping that it would rain and it did start pouring heavily. Rains become magical with a hot cup of coffee or chocolate shake. Yumm, now I am tempted. I better go and catch one (laughs).” This is what smart and dashing Siddharth Shukla, who is winning every one’s heart in Balika Vadhu (Colors), said, “I simply relish this season. It brings a smile on my lips when I watch raindrops falling from the sky. I have experienced the season abroad but Mumbai rains have a different magic altogether. I love getting drenched in rain. I go out of city for tracking. In fact, I am on my way back from Lonavala. The weather there was beautiful. I had bhuttas and fried food. I have fond memories in the season…like playing football in dirty water and more.” Lovely lady Shilpa Anand anxiously waits for monsoon to hit her roof. “My bedroom window opens up to wonderful view. It’s green all around. I like sitting at home and watch raindrops caress the earth. I like to go on a long drive and have yummy masala pav at Bandstand. I also like to go for a walk on Carter Road. But I too have a bad experience. Once my car got stuck at Milan Subway at Khar. Thank God there was a group of boys who helped me to push my car out from water and luckily I reached home safely.” Handsome hunk Siddhant Karnick is another lad who enjoys the wet season. Shared the man: “I sit at home with a glass of beer and enjoy the rains. I go on a long ride with my friends to Lonavala and get fully drenched. I also have hot pakodas. Recently, I had been to Leh Ladakh on bike with 20 other bikers. It took sixteen days for us to reach there. Every year we go there. This was my second year. The best moment was when we reached Baralacha la. It’s a beautiful place with greenery all around. It was so cold and was raining so heavily that we were fully drenched in spite of wearing rain gears. Even our chaddis got wet. But it was a top of the world feeling for me.” Cute and lovely Devoleena Bhattacharjee, seen as Gopi Bahu in Star Plus’ Saath Nibhana Saathiya, is lamenting the fact that she doesn’t have a boyfriend to romance with in this monsoon season. “I love the rains in Mumbai. Yesterday I was in no mood to shoot. I was telling everyone that I wish I had a boyfriend for I could have romanced with him (laughs). The weather is so beautiful and refreshing. Yes, traffic becomes a quite a nuisance over here, but all said and done, monsoon is beautiful in Mumbai.” TV heartthrob Barun Sobti aka Arnav in Star Plus’ Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon has a different take altogether. “I love rains and I don’t think there is anyone who doesn’t feel the same. But Mumbai rains cause problem at times. So much traffic and water logging. Yes, Municipal guys must pull up their socks but to solve major problems in this country the government has to keep a check on population growth.” So guys…you have heard what your favourite TV stars have to say about Mumbai rains and monsoon in general.
