MUMBAI: Munawar Faruqui's personal life is discussed as much as his professional life. In Bigg Boss 17, many of his dark secrets were revealed and his love connections were also talked about. However, after the show, Faruqui shocked everyone by settling down and getting married in a secret ceremony.
Faruqui appeared on Farah Khan's cooking show for her YouTube channel and revealed a few details about his marriage. He mentioned that he didn't know Mehzabeen (his wife) when he was in the Bigg Boss 17 house. He added that after he returned to his life after winning the show, his son would often hug him and follow him around the house. He realized that his son Mikaeel needs him and when it was time for him to return to stay with Munawar's sister, he realized that he also needed him in his life. This prompted him to get married soon.

Munawar further added that his association with Mehzabeen seems like puzzle pieces coming together. He added that Mehzabeen had a beautiful 10 year old daughter and thus he felt it would be a good match. Faruqui mentioned asking Mehzabeen the big question the next day itself. He added that he had this thought the entire night in his head and it just felt right for him to ask Mehzabeen if she'd want to get married to him.
Additionally, Munawar revealed that his wedding date was fixed merely one month before the ceremony.
