As we know cricketers work very hard and go through rigorous practice sessions to hone their craft and make a place for themselves in cricket team. They represent the country at various prestigious places and bring laurels. However, it is also a known fact that their career has a short span. For their contribution to the world of cricket, many have been bestowed upon with prestigious awards. The Government too has rewarded many talented cricketers with prestigious positions. K L Rahul is one of the cricketers to earn such a thing. Well, the Reserve Bank of India has given him the post of an assistant manager.
In an interview, K L Rahul revealed that his parents were the happiest when he got the RBI job. He said, “My mum, she still gives me grief that she doesn’t have an engineering certificate on the wall. And I tell her that I play for the country and you’re still worried. I got a job with the Reserve Bank of India recently, a couple of years ago. That’s when they were the happiest. Not when I got 100s, not when I won games for the country. They obviously are happy but the happiest they have been is when I got a job, a stable job.”
