MUMBAI: Presenting the tale of one of the most legendary women, Kashibai Bajirao Ballal of the Maratha empire, the show started off with a bang. However, it was the recent 7-year leap that has got everyone excited, especially with Riya Sharma (Kashibai) and Rohit Chandel (Bajirao) joining the show. In fact, viewers are in for another treat as a new song is all set to be presented on the show and lead star Rohit Chandel has taken inspiration from none other than Ranveer Singh for it.

Celebrating his victorious return, Bajirao will be seen dancing his heart out on a fresh, energetic song – Marhatta – on the show pretty soon. A teaser of the song was recently shown during the cast’s visit to the Shobha Yatra celebrations in Nashik, and it has already started a frenzy on social media. Everyone has been drawing comparisons of Marhatta with Ranveer Singh’s Malhari.

While both the songs are quite different, the energy of both the stars seems to be quite unbelievable and looks like it has something to do with the Bollywood superstar. Rohit has always believed that Ranveer is one of the enigmatic actors in Bollywood and when he heard about performing on Marhatta, he instantly went the Ranveer Singh way and practiced the dance routine multiple times and put all his energy every single time.

Rohit Chandel gave a passionate performance, with his energy matching Ranveer’s level. But it was definitely a challenging task for him, especially learning all the steps in a short period of time, matching up to his energy levels as well as landing all the stunts correctly.

As Rohit mentions, “I feel grateful to be a part of a grand historical show like Kashibai Bajirao Ballal. I must mention that playing Bajirao was like a dream come true for me and when I was told we were going to shoot a fast-paced song like Marhatta, I got super excited. Ranveer Singh’s Malhari immediately came to my mind and while the songs are quite different, I wanted to showcase his level of energy in this song. Hence, I practiced and practiced the whole sequence for two days straight and gave it my all during the shoot.
