A young girl with million dreams, Isha Chawla who creates magic with her dance on stage, is now looking forward to a career in acting. And this has definitely been a long lasting dream for her. Sharing her journey with us, she explained, “I had been doing shows in Delhi, but somewhere down the line acting was what I wanted to do. I was also dabbling with modelling when one of my choreographer friends suggested me to audition for TV shows. That’s how it started and I moved to Mumbai six months back. And now I am really focused in the profession and want to do some really good stuff.” The actress has been part of shows like Yeh Hai Aashiqui, MTV Fanaah and MTV Webbed and is in talks to feature in a show and a movie. “I cannot talk much about them but after doing number of episodics, I want to concentrate on lead roles in dailies and movies. Episode based shows have definitely given me some real good exposure and now it’s time to give the final test (smiles),” averred the girl. We asked Isha, a trained in contemporary dance form, whether she ever tried her luck in reality shows. “Never! I knew how I wanted to move in my career. I have just turned 20 and have a long way to go. I want to be known as a performer. Also I would like to do roles that would give me a chance to act and not just be a pretty face on screen.” When asked how Mumbai has been treating her, Isha exclaimed, “It is treating me really well. It is of course difficult to be alone in the city, but I think I am dealing with the challenges quite well. Since I am the youngest in the family with two elder brothers, I have been pampered all my life. But all these will only make me responsible and I am looking forward to a great life ahead.” And finally we asked the young girl about her biggest strength that powers her in her life ahead. “Apart from the love and support of my family I must say it’s my passion towards achieving my dreams keep me focused. I have always been a nautanki and I think my dreams will surely take me forward in life.” Cheers to that Isha!
