She's young, beautiful, talented and charismatic!!! We are talking about Iris Maity, who is a bundle of talent. A dancer, singer, painter and a model, Iris has been crowned at various fashion shows. In conversation with Tellychakkar.com, the pretty lady spills some beans about her acting career and personal life. Currently she is seen in Life OK’s Shapath. States Iris, “I modelled for 6 years and there is a flair needed for acting. I have won awards for modelling and I am excellent at it but wondered what to do next. I love acting, and my friends call me a drama queen. So, I thought about it and took a leap into doing films.” The charming lady has been seen in two Bollywood movies, Soch Lo and Tutiya Dil before taking up the television show, Hum Ne Li Hai…Shapath on Life OK which is creating impressive TRPs. While actors generally move from television to films, we wonder what made the actor take the other route. She avers, “Well, of course my aspirations lie in doing good films. I am a director’s actor and want to enact everything, right from a Sridevi from Sadma to the Madhuri Dixit from Beta. But I would not like to take up a project and essay sub-standard roles. I would really like to do something like Vidya Balan. She is like water; she fits into any character with extreme ease. When I was offered Shapath, I took it up because there is an excitement about the new stories every week and the content does not stretch for ages. Also, there is a lot of action involved which I love doing.” “In fact, I would not mind being part of a saas-bahu drama too, provided the content should be good. I watch Life OK’s Tumhari Paakhi on a daily basis and enjoy it as the concept is fresh and interesting. I like watching Shraddha Arya who is beautiful and a very sweet looking lady,” she adds. On a personal level, Tellychakkar.com quizzed Iris of her rumored relationship with Vikram Chatterjee during her Bigg Boss Bangla days. She cleared the air immediately stating, “Vikram is in Kolkata and I am here in Mumbai. There is nothing between me and Vikram.
