MUMBAI: Surbhi Jyoti, a familiar face to Indian television audiences thanks to her standout performances in hit series like Qubool Hai and Naagin 3, continues to be a force to reckon with in the industry.
Most recently, she garnered praise for her role as Tara in Gunaah Season 2 — a gripping digital thriller that premiered earlier this year to strong acclaim.
While fans have long speculated about seeing the actress in the high-voltage reality show Bigg Boss, Surbhi has finally broken her silence and set the record straight.

In a recent interview, the talented actress candidly expressed her disinterest in participating in the controversial reality series. "No, I’m not interested in doing the show. I don’t consider myself competitive enough. Back in my college days, I was highly competitive. I took part in theatre and national-level debate championships, which I thoroughly enjoyed. But that was because I was performing, playing a part, delivering lines. That’s where my passion lies," she explained.
When questioned about her appearance in a Bigg Boss promo alongside Salman Khan, Surbhi was quick to clarify. “That was purely a PR exercise — a promotional gimmick to generate buzz around the idea that I might join the show. But honestly, I’ve never intended to be part of the Bigg Boss house,” she added firmly.
While there’s no doubt that fans would love to watch her inside the house, Surbhi’s stance is crystal clear — she prefers to shine through her craft, not controversy.
For now, audiences can continue to enjoy her compelling performances on screen, knowing that reality TV isn’t on her agenda anytime soon.
