Actor Neel Bhattacharya says that he is very happy with his role in Zee Bangla’s recently launched serial Stree (Blues).

Neel said, “Earlier people used to offer me roles either of a chocolate boy or of a Casanova with lots of girlfriends. And in Stree, I am playing the role of a man who is a musician. He is special. Although he cannot walk, he takes lots of responsibilities on his shoulder.”

“I am glad to play this mature character,” he added.

When asked how he prepared for the role, he answered, “I have seen many movies and have interacted with some of my friends who lead their life in a wheelchair.”

“Actually, whenever we think about a hero, an image comes to our mind who can dance, fight and do everything. But here the hero is different. The role is challenging and every day I am learning from it,” he added.

Though the actor is playing a challenging role but he has no expectation from the show. He said, “I don’t expect much from serials. Everything is on viewers’ hands. All I want is to play my character well.
