New soap on Sony

After axing two shows Amber-Dhara and Khwaish Sony now has a new primetime show titled Hamari Urmi. The show is produced by Rose Audio Visuals, of Remix and India Calling fame. It is reported that the producer Srishti Behl is in talks with Manish Goel and Rahil Azam to play the lead and a new face as the lead actress. Srishti however chose to reveal nothing. “I really can’t say anything or confirm the news as I am waiting for the telecast time and date from the channel. Only then I would be able to reveal the details,” she said.

Srishti however chose to reveal nothing. “I really can’t say anything or confirm the news as I am waiting for the telecast time and date from the channel. Only then I would be able to reveal the details,” she said. Albert Almeida, Executive VP and Business Head Sony, says, “Talks are on but it is too early to speak about it.” On probing further, he says, “It will be a daily which will be placed in the primetime slot. Rest of the details will be divulged at the appropriate time.” Manish Goel, the actor who is looking forward to playing the lead role says, “I have been offered the lead role but nothing is finalised as yet as the talks are still on. I am looking forward to do this role as Rose Audio Visuals is associated with producing distinctive programs. They work on some exceptional concepts to make great shows. I have given my nod as I liked my role and storyline.” However Rahil says, “Talks were on but as of now I have nothing from the production house. I am out of town since the past ten days.” A source close to the production house informs us that the show is pitched to air in the end of May or June beginning post IPL. The source adds, “The dialogues of the show are written by popular writer Preeti Dayal.” As the guessing game begins we wonder which one of the current shows will get axed.
