Model-turned-actor Nikhil Chaddha debuted with Maat Pitah Ke Charno Mein Swarg on television as Arjun, who was initially a very loving and caring son of the Tripathi family. His character then became the main antagonist and was responsible for killing his mother. Arjun escaped after his mother’s death; his character has been missing in the show since then. There were many incidents which took place in the show and Arjun’s negative behaviour was justified by his and his brother Shubh’s past life karmas. “I was supposed to shoot for the show, but I think the creative team could not find a right track for me. So I could not resume the shoot. Last I shot with the unit was for the reincarnation sequence and after that I was not well for few days, and the production house told me that they will call me back for the shoot. Few days later when we had a word about my track they told me that it is not happening and I am not returning in the show.” The show recently introduced few new characters and focus of the track is on establishing them, while two more developing tracks are Shubh-Suhani and Ansh-Gayatri’s love story. Meanwhile Arjun’s wife Lolita played by Shamin Manan too is not re entering the show. “I was hospitalised and then they sent off my character somewhere. It is true our track ended abruptly and now they have informed me that Lolita is not coming back. The production house has also given me permission to work on other projects, so I am looking for a good role now,” says Shamin. Nikhil too is busy shooting for his commercials and meeting people for work. It is said that Swarg might end soon or will shift in the noon slot.
