MUMBAI: TellyChakkar was the first one to break the news about Jay Mehta Productions rolling out a new show for Sony Entertainment Television. We also mentioned about Piyaa Albela fame Akshay Mhatre and Avantika Hundal, best known for her stint in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, has been roped in to play leads in the show.

Now, the latest we hear that TV and Bollywood actor Nitesh Pandey, who is best known for his roles in Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara, Ek Rishta Saajhedari Ka and movies like Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, Mickey Virus amongst others, has bagged the show.

According to our sources, Nitesh will play Akshay’s father while Suchitra Trivedi as his mother.

It is a finite series and will be shot overseas mostly in London. Apparently the show is inspired from Bollywood film English Vinglish where Akshay’s mother (Suchitra) will be determined to learn English.

We could not get through Nitesh for a comment.
