None in the industry gets saved from the clutches of controversies.

The latest one to fall victim is acclaimed actress Seema Pandey.

Recently, we carried a story on how the lady made an exit from the popular drama Jamai Raja after tensions cropped up between her and the production house (Sagar Pictures and Grazing Goats).

Stating it all to be a forged controversy, Seema exclusively spoke to us and shared her side of the story.

“It all started two months back when the leap was planned. Most actors decided to leave and even I was not too keen to play a grandmother. I spoke to the creatives and to producer (Meenakshi Sagar) and shared my concerns over playing an old dadi. They assured me that it won’t be a typical old character and that they would plan something interesting for me. Sadly, things did not work out and we sat down and discussed that the probabilities of the character shining out seemed bleak. Thus, I put down my papers, duly served my notice period and moved out honourably,” said the actress.

Seema further added, “But seems like someone on the sets had some issues with me and thus spread such malicious rumours. I was aghast and thus called up Meenakshi who assured me that she has no ill feeling against me. She readily asked me to announce that I had an official exit from the show without any controversies. I am sad that someone decided to target me this way but I know my work will speak for me.”

Talking about her bonding with her team, the actress said, “I have had a great working relationship with everyone on the set. Once you work for more than 12 hours per day, there are slight altercations and tiffs but that is part and parcel of the industry. But they have been really cooperative and I am saddened by the fact that things got ugly post my exit.”

Finally, ending it all on a positive note, Seema stated, “I am looking forward to few projects that I have in my hand (TV and films) and hope these disturbing controversy wipes out soon from my life.”

Wish you all the best Seema!
